Madison Hart Madison Hart began her professional career in 1993 after receiving an Award of Excellence from the BC Festival of the Arts for her fabric collage, “Rocking Porch”. That same year she was given a solo exhibition through the Kelowna Art Gallery’s Outreach program for her work in acrylics. In galleries since 1994, her work hangs in numerous corporate collections and has garnered many commissions, including the cover of BC Wine Country, special Collectors Edition, the image also being used on book bags and brochures to promote Project Literacy. Her work was licensed by Day Dreams and Wyman and Son for Calendars and has been featured in several newspapers and magazines, such as Canadian Living and most recently in the prestigious art magazine, Magazin’Art. Madison's work has undergone many transitions over the years, from her fabric collages and realistic cottage gardens to her latest work, colorful, interpretive paintings inspired by her love of Vancouver Island. Moving to Mill Bay three years ago, she started to explore her art, looking for new ways to express her interest in gardens and country life. Captivated by her surroundings, she decided to paint scenes that depicted the Island's diverse sea and landscapes, interesting character homes and lush gardens. As a result, her paintings are bold and colorful, exuding a contagious energy and joy that clearly reflects the artist's joie de vivre. |
